Welcome to the 'All About Ben' website.

We have written this site about our son who has Canavan Disease, a rare neurological disorder resulting in him being severely physically disabled.  We want to share our experiences in the hope that they may be of help to other families with a disabled child.

I hope you will see that Ben tries hard to overcome pain and disability, gets lots of enjoyment out of life and is loved by all who meet him.  There are an estimated 770,000 disabled children living in the UK.
